Trudeau’s approach towards our Indigenous neighbours is worthy of close scrutiny. The eye watering amount of money allocated to Indigenous affairs in the annual budget coincided with Trudeau’s decision to water down the audit and reporting requirements of the Indigenous Bands and Organizations.

Many Canadians, including myself can agree that the needs of Indigenous people at the grassroots level are many and it will take money to solve these issues. It’s fair though to wonder if the Indigenous people in need and the Canadian taxpayers are getting their money’s worth? The general disinterest of the Trudeau Liberals to follow up and scrutinize spending as measured by results is a bad idea when all we continue to see, read and hear about is acute poverty, poor living conditions and chronic health problems. The huge sums of money has bought Trudeau peace with Indigenous leaders but it would be nice to know if things are going in the right direction.

An excellent summary, but you missed the bombshells of his, at best, wilful blindness to Chinese influence, interference and intimidation campaigns that benefited his party.
